Am I the only one laughing at the Michael Jackson media coverage?
Not that I'm pleased this man is dead...he was a tremendously talented and gifted human being and it's sad to see him go the Elvis road.
What is amusing is the media coverage, and everyone wondering if this is appropriate. Is it appropriate, are you kidding me? The irony is screaming...
They find it innapropriate that Reverend Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are for some reason involved. They find it sickening that Joe Jackson is trying to find some way to profit from his son's death. Many find it disrespectful to treat a man's funeral as a means to promote your own career (I'm talking to you Mariah Carey).
I can find nothing less appropriate, and I can see no less perfect a tribute to a man who's gift gave him unlimited wealth, and who's wealth brought him an ever replenshing line of leeches and two faced friends and family to suck from his veins.
Joe Jackson...take a bow. You have taught 'Screwing Up a Child 101", and have taught it well. You saw talent in your young son, and spent the next 40 years milking this talent as hard as you could. Rather than teach your how to be a man, you taught him to sing and dance. Rather than show your son love, you made your love dependant upon his performance that evening.
They made this boy one of the wealthiest people on the planet, and this boy incapable of knowing when people were taking advantage of him went on to personally wreck every legacy his talent left. His death is the final blow of a process that's been a slow 40 years, and his funeral at the Staples Center was simply the leeches last chance to tap into his tattered legacy.
Please...someone keep Joe Jackson the hell away from those kids.

My Tao
Tao (or Dao) is an eastern word that describes the way things should be.
In a nutshell, tao is the path through life that is right for each of us. It's the set of acts and actions that bring us to achieving full satisfaction in life.
My way will not always be like your way, nor should I ever demand it...but I am here to share my ways. This is basically going to be a recepticle for the Tao of me.
